Elshadai Relief and Development Association launched a project to ensure the protection and rehabilitation of 70,300 war affected groups, which includes 20,000 children, 40,500 women and 9,800 elders.

The project which is undertaken under a motto “From IDP to rehabilitation & reintegration” is intended to be implemented throughout Tigrai.

ERDA has initiated this project to address the effect of devastating on-going war in Tigrai caused among other thing in destruction of infrastructures, looting of hard-earned assets mass killing, gender based violence and displacement of more than 2.2 million Tigreans. 

The Project will have components including establishment of rehabilitation center to accommodate unaccompanied and separated children, fulfillment of fundamental needs, providing counseling services, facilities reunification of children, provide life skill and income generating activities (IGAs).

ERDA have adequate experiences in managing of similar projects over the past 32 years, working in collaborated with Gov‘t and non- Govn‘t organization to support the most vulnerable part of society including children and those who were living on bagging and street children.
